Artistical Curriculum
After the Piano
Degree, which he got in 1986 in Bologna, Giulio Giurato specialized with
Jorg Demus, Sergio Perticaroli, Boris Bekhterev, Giovanna Musiani, Antonio
Ballista.
Since 1984
he plays as soloist and in different ensembles in several Countries and
in all over Italy; he successfully took part in many important musical
events. Moreover he was appreciated in many competitions, both as a soloist
and in duo.
In 1995 played
with the "Accademia Bizantina" Chamber Orchestra in Luzern, at the famous
International Festival; in 1998 performed Giuliani's Third Guitar Concert
with the guitarist Alirio Diaz.
Since 1998
he plays in four hands with Joerg Demus, with whom he performed in several
"Schubertiadi" where they got enthusiastic appretiations by audience and
press: "...in the Schubert Fantasie in F moll Demus and Giurato provided
such an enchanting enterpretation, with tecnical perfection, deep lyrism
and touching sounds..." (Il Giornale di Vicenza). In 2000 founded the
"SchuberTrio" with Roberto and Andrea Noferini at the strings; they recently
recorded the double CD "Franz Schubert - Complete Works for Piano-Trio"
by Tactus, very appreciated by musicians and audience.
Giulio Giurato
teaches Chamber Music in the Cosenza State Conservatory.
